Let’s talk about sex!
Johnny and I talk about physical boundaries in a Christian relationship.
On one hand, I’m glad that they’re doing what works for them, and something that makes them feel better about their lives. On the other hand, I haven’t ever been abstinent. Before I was married, I wasn’t a whore, but I never put boundaries on myself. I had sex with one boy when I was in high school, and that was it. I don’t like the idea of referring to sex as sinful. Sex is a natural thing, and we’re all human. I disagree with the thought that if you have sex before you’re married, you’re sinning and therefore damned to hell.
TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT: We never once in the entire film said anything even close to being damned to hell for sinning. That defeats the entire purpose of Christ, who died for our sins that we may be saved under grace through love. We are all sinners, to say that sin itself damns us to hell means we are all doomed to an afterlife of misery. Rather, through salvation and grace, we are saved.
